Varroa Pyrethroid Resistance (L925) qPCR Kit, 100 tests

Typically varroa is treated with treatments such as Bayvarol® or Apistan® however some varroa mites are becoming resistant to these treatments.  This test detects and differentiates the three resistance markers at position L925 of the Voltage Gated Sodium Channel (VGSC) gene in the mites. These markers are associated with pyrethroid resistance in the mites and an alternative treatment should be used.
