Yeast Genomic DNA Kit, 100 Preps

The Presto™ Mini gDNA Yeast Kit provides fast and convenient isolation of high-quality genomic DNA from cultured yeast and other fungi.

Cells are added directly to bead-beating tubes pre-filled with ceramic beads and lysis buffer. Using a bead beater or standard vortex, samples are rapidly and efficiently lysed—no digestive enzymes (such as Lyticase or Zymolase) are required.

After lysis, the sample is mixed with Binding Buffer and applied to a GD Column, where the genomic DNA binds to the membrane. The column is then washed, and DNA is eluted with Elution Buffer. No phenol extraction or alcohol precipitation steps are needed.

The complete procedure can be finished in as little as 40 minutes, and the purified genomic DNA is ready for use in:

• PCR
• Restriction enzyme digestion
• Sequencing reactions
